Part 1 of “Putting Colour Into The Streets” , Bellavista wall in Malta.
February 27th, 2012 § 0
And with great Pride , Troglodyte‘s ( my crew) first official video & HUGE wall… A huge thanks to all our sponsors, friends, volunteers for making it all happen. Part 1 of “Putting Colour Into The Streets” , Bellavista wall in Malta. Please feel free to put this one on Full screen.
Music played here is from our friends at Plato’s Dream Machine. Song was perfect for the mood for sure. Its been overwhelming to say the very least to show this video and watch a gist of the hard work that went into this 65 meter wall. The theme is one of nature taking place in different times of the day. Everyone added their own ideas tied to the theme and background.
My section is my interpretation of mother nature…

This is Julian Delia, a fellow Troglodyte who made the film above. Its an honur to have him aboard the troglodyte ship. Up the horns right back atcha.

The rest of the wall... From right to left: Emoon, Twitch, Iella, Christian Langer & myself, SeaPuppy
Thats it for now. On this entry, I showed mosty my work, But a better blog entry will be made on the Troglodyte’s site soon with a concentration of everyones work… We have 2 more walls left in the “Putting Colour Into The Streets” series. STAY TUNED for some good stuff.
February Dragon Commission
February 3rd, 2012 § 4
Ok , so the following is a tease as I’m not allowed to actually reveal where or what these walls will be due to temporary legal reasons… But I will say that i’m pretty excited to say the very least.
Here’s why…

These pictures really don't show the true size of the walls, especially the first wall that will be tackled ( top of photo). . From top to bottom pictures, we have the last floors of the stairwell. There are some challenges and new skills that will come from this... Its a pretty huge drop to the ground floor, so constructing a good platform in which I can place the ladder on shall be key. I love my job, you just learn new things all the time, not only in art, but problem solving in general. Some carpentry, construction skills will be needed before we get to the artwork itself on this commission..

Small section of bigger sketch... As I can't reveal the whole sketch, I'm showing a tiny section... Before I tackle a wall, I sketch very rough digitally, however what is precise are the color schemes. I box all the colors and list on the sketch, where later, I can take my color scheme to the Montana Spray paint distribution here in Malta and fill the travel bag with all the right cans...As far as content of walls, Yes, you know now that these walls will have a dragon, however, its a dragon with a rather nice twist, or at least I think so... Incorperating the dragon itself as well on these walls will be a rather challenging one as well ,but, i do I love myself a good challenge and progression in myself which is why I couldn't be happier with this commission. No better feeling in this world
All shall be revealed about this soon. A process video is also in the works as well what this commission is actually for & where… Stay tuned…
Meet my room-mates…

In mole-book sketch form… Circa 3- 5 minutes…

This is Nieves on left and Sergio on Right... Good folks, they make a real good Spanish omelette. Sergio likes to squeeze glue into my nose from time to time. It helps my artwork inspiration

This is Cesar... He's a graff writer and a mighty fine one at that. You'll be seeing a lot of his works in 2012.
